人类认识世界的时候定义了维度。本来维度是一个纯粹描述性的定义,但是在某些科普书的引导下,有些人就开始胡乱想象解释维度了

三维之外的空间其实都是数学概念,在数学上可以严格地推导,并不是有人说的“物理学成了玄学”。高维空间在物理学上是很常见的概念,没什么神秘的。举个浅显但可能不很恰当的例子:比如说三维空间中有一个粒子,要完全描述这个粒子的运动状态需要六个参数(三个坐标分量,三个动量分量),这六个参数就组成了一个“六维相空间”,粒子的运动状态可以以这个空间中的一个点来表示。

 

也就是说,如果要在数学上构建一个n维空间,无非就是把原本的三个坐标分量换成了n个坐标分量。数学上去研究这种空间是肯定没问题的,但由于目前的人类的实验能力有限,有些理论就只能先放着,以后再来检验。
